Maybe because of what he has said etc etc but, is it me or does Rossi look like the odd one out in that picture? Killer sideburns though tbf I think you are in the grip of semiotic overdrive! Which doesn't of course mean it isn't true. The following year 1983 was The Year They Didn't Tour. True that. Rossi's attire there just doesn't seem to blend with Rick and Alan's

The worst Quo gig I ever had the miss-fortune to attend, only a few months after the best Quo gig I saw without JC.
This and Back To Back meant the decision to quit wasn't a bad idea.

I was at this one. Still have the programme. Seemed to remember that Bye Bye Johnny got messed up and Alan apologised but cannot be sure due to passage of time.

I was there. I can't recall the sound being bad tho`, must have been the booze! Great line up, I loved Uriah Heep.Crowd big as well, around the 50000 mark. I also went the previous year with AC/DC headlining, did anyone on here go to that gig and remember the shower of bottles flying when Slade were playing? Mental!!

I thought I went to Donington when ACDC were on, but I don't remember seeing Slade...? Did ACDC do another MOR later?

They left it all behind at Hammersmith. It was a bit windy and a miserable day and they didn't do themselves justice. The sound seemed to swirl around a lot.
