Sutton Park possibly was... and Quo probably bought their set footage as for the NEC '82 gig, it is about time that was released in full on Blu Ray so it can be jam packed with extras and rehearsal footage from interviews that day. But that'd only happen in a perfect world. and I don't think it'd look any good on Blu Ray unless they scanned the tape reels and completely sorted the whole thing out... that's why any footage from that gig upscaled (essentially), doesn't look any good Other than that we've had every song from the gig on various numbers of releases just not all on the same one. I'm still waiting for the day they actually put the version of Hold You Back from the Prince Charles night on the CD/Audio release I was told that NEC cannot be released in full because at the end of DWMT the credits for the hour long show are over the images and they cannot be removed. Don't see why they wouldn't have original masters without the credits? and considering they used two different nights of footage for the Live At The BBC release something must be possible

He said the original footage had been lost. Same as the EOTR footage.

He said the original footage had been lost. Same as the EOTR footage. Yet footage of the rest of concert has been doing the rounds online and in the bootlegging circle for years so the master copys have to be out there somewhere forgotten about in a vault or in someones shed or basement. All sorts of lost supposed footage by various bands is always being found and in this day and age its easy (i assume) to remove text of video they had to do that for the Live Aid DVD release from the various sources used to make it

The Butlin's 1990 gig crept out in a late night series called Bedrock, which was produced by Central TV for ITV and went out overnights in 91/92. I've got an off-air recording somewhere. It was basically the same as the Anniversary Waltz VHS, but heavily and very clumsily cut to fit a 50 min slot - don't know whether any of the uncut footage still exists without all the visual effects.

They still have it but it's a VHS copy without the shite visuals... I remember Andy Gamble mentioned it on the old board along with them having the full audio for ONE of the 4 RTYD gigs but not sure on the footage

Was also totally butchered for a budget CD release. Maybe the same edit?

Whoever was in charge of Quo's 'vault' throughout the years was one clumsy bastard, they'd lose their head if it wasn't attached judging by the posts in this thread and over the years.

They have a bit of footage like the Wembley 1996 screen footage from the 90's as far as i know. I find it fucking ridiculous and a waste of their own money that they've lost all these master tapes... then again I don't think they give a fuck. Quo prefer to release compilations no fucker wants over and over again, but not what fans actually want

Only Madrid 75 from the golden era right? They spent their entire careers thinking the whole thing was going to be over in 5 years ("Thats showbiz" - Guess who?) that they didn't take notice of what their peers were doing (promises of future income) and actually document their success for future reference. Very short sighted and that is why we get as you say, the same shit year in year out in terms of best of's because sadly, there probably is fuck to surprise us with.

I've heard rumours of a coloured version of the Madrid footage but these days you can't hope too much. Considering it took us 10 years to get the Wembley 1996 gig (not in full) is ridiculous... then again it's better than nothing I guess? These days I have no hope for ANY Milton Keynes footage at all and the whole finding of the Edited masters around the time of the Pictures Doc I now believe to be bullshit. So far we've had two compilations this year... Keep 'Em Coming and Rock n' Roll n' You, and both are pretty much a collection of crap. I don't see them bothering with any old live footage tbh or remastering it at least because that would cost money and they'd consider it a waste. These deluxe editions, if you wish to call them that, are absolute garbage and offer no genuine unheard material from those eras at all... simply a polished up bootleg which you're having to buy when you could just get the same thing from a trader I don't see why they wouldn't want to make digital copies of their old live footage instead of letting it continue to deteriorate wherever it's kept... (if they even have any of it). It seems as if, if there was a genuine warehouse fire that they lost the Milton Keynes tapes to... it was probably purposely and all the rest were slung with it

You're asking the number one band to have made taking the piss out of itself a career move to suddenly start appraising their own artistic merit? They. Don't. Give. A. Shit. (Unless there's tacky gimmick value to be flogged from it).

I think that there is stuff available but as was the case with the Swedish Radio session from 1971,certain people quite obviously don't want certain things released.

Yep,they certainly appear "Accident Prone" ....... If the multitrack master tapes of the RAOTW album were supposedly found at a house in Surrey, what other Quo treasure troves are lurking in this Aladdin's Cave?. Hopefully not several previously unreleased version of Tommy but stuff that fans actually want.

Just something I read awhile ago All I've seen from Quo's Wembley slot is the roadies putting their gear away There's a bit of footage from the Newcastle gig and the odd bit from Knebworth... although they're just the one camera angle
