Was Francis busy elsewhere??
Or is this allowed to write,or is it none of my f*ckin business, should I just shut the f*ck up and let the current band members of the once great rock band Status Quo do whatever they want and just crawl back into my little cave and play the -76 live album very loud all to myself?
Well the future will tell....

Well the future will tell.... I asked this in another thread....Didn't want to start it here in this one... But, it's absolutely disgraceful he wasn't there today. Then again, we know RPJ has no time for him and Spud, from what I gather, isn't too fond of him either so maybe he wasn't there because of that

Great pics of an honour well deserved and lovely to see Gillie Coghlan looking as ageless and beautiful as ever - a true "rock chick" who has always understood the meaning of diplomacy and how to be a true lady.

You can see that RPJ, Patty and most probably Harry are on one side and Lyndsay is on the other.

John's a good guy. He is always there to honour Rick. He looks great too. For whatever reason they may have, it is surprising that none of the the current so called Quo bother to turn up for such events. I get that it may not be appropriate and there is obviously a lot of tension between Francis and his clan and everyone else associated with Rick but I would have buried the hatchet and done everything to recognise Rick's contribution to Quo. I think most of us get the solid impression that none of current Quo and management want anything to do with Rick's legacy and just want to carry on as if nothing has changed for the business. There is plenty going on that we don't know about, and should not know about, but at the end of the day it is a matter of keeping Rick's name alive and everyone should be a part of wanting to do that.

Well only one of Rossi Quo who was close to Rick is Andy & he looked in total shock at the funeral unlike Rossi and Whino.

I see someone is defending the band for not been there and bashing Spud's "behaviour" since Rick died and him showing up the other day Some people sicken me

I find it staggering that anyone could think that band rehearsals (if they were having them) is a worthy excuse for not attending this gathering in honour of Rick. Also an insinuation that John has far more time on his hand to attend the event than the happy clappy elite (with such full diaries and people across the lands clamouring to see them of course) is pretty condescending as well. Why would they need such desparate rehearsals anyway? Its the same old strum along copying one another in a row and/or the same 'electric' set since the Pre-Cambrian era so taking a day or even half a day out is hardly going to make them less predictable 'slick and polished'. I'm also sure they won't forget when to smile, nod or wave in all the right places. Its showbiz right? And lastly, just one small thing. It was only in respect and honour of Rick - one of the spearhead guitarists who featured in the band since the mid sixties....So yes, silly me. Karaoke rehearsals should come first ahead of all that... Dear me

Spot on Catlady, and very well put, a lot more articulate than I would have put it, a real genuine damn shame...

I wonder why that is... I see someone is defending the band for not been there and bashing Spud's "behaviour" since Rick died and him showing up the other day Some people sicken me Yep. If rehearsals weren't deemed an appropriate excuse by the self-proclaimed voice of reason it would have been something equally as trivial such as "Francis needs his afternoon nap" or "Francis has to do his exercises with Lyane (lucky her!)", such is the level of infatuation exhibited towards him by the person in question. And what about John's behaviour? Is it because Porter's "nothing to see here" facade isn't being preached it's inherently wrong of anyone to, God forbid, show respect and pay tribute to Rick?
