Very few references to Francis, other than Bob speaking briefly of his "discipline" in contrast to the light relief of co-writing with Rick
RPJ was lovely with his tributes to his Dad and clearly sees how the FF were the real thing with his comments about the reunion gigs.
The programme overall just seems to increase the perception of so much clear blue water between the post Rick band situation and what used to be. You can feel where all the hearts lie on that programme and its a long long way from picking up the pieces with LNOTE and Aquostic. That's not being prejudiced, its stating what is impossible to ignore.
But Rick I think would be very happy listening from above to all his friends speaking so affectionately of him

I have to admit, listening to it almost got me going again... it certainly got John going again at the end. A shame it really is Think it says a lot that Francis wasn't involved..... Wouldn't have taken too much out of his day to talk to John and Gillie over the phone for the episode about Rick, go on about some memories and whatnot I thought towards the end that we'd have heard some PLC output cause they brought it up, and I started thinking it'd be great to hear something new to end the show

Thanks John & Gillie. Very moving and warm tribute to Rick. I was sad and happy at the same time remembering the band in its heyday.
Deafening silence from you know who. I hope he listened and maybe shed a tear at home (or where ever he is on the road.)

You have to as though why were Andy and Rhino not asked to contribute. They were in touch with him right to the end, I don't think that Simon Porter would have banned them from talking.

Lovely tribute programme to Rick, with some really affectionate contributions. I wonder if the proposed plans for later this year was going to be Rick joining Alan and John at Minehead? Shame that we can never see any more FF reunions

"Pure and heavy and awesome" what better tribute to the Frantic Four and Rick could there be?

You have to as though why were Andy and Rhino not asked to contribute. They were in touch with him right to the end, I don't think that Simon Porter would have banned them from talking. I don't know if you've regularly listened to their show. But the format is that they ask their music biz pals on to each episode. I don't think Andy and Rhino would fall into that category. All the people we heard speak were also friends of theirs, including rpj.
