Its not for me, and some of the versions on AQ2 of songs like ROLD are pretty frightful to say the least, but in relative terms I can accept the AQ shows continuing much more than the electric shows. Aquostic is a recent very late day creation and Rick had a lesser involvement in AQ2 anyway.
Hearing a different set butchering up some old classics is the better devil than an interminably samey karaoke set with the new ingredient of being sung extremely badly while still featuring the lead player trying to make his guitar emulate a castrated coyote.
There, I just polished a turd

Just bought my ticket from the Wolverhampton fan club presale. I was offered one ticket for the balcony just after 9am, tried to find a better, one with no luck, and then the message came up that all balcony seats had been sold. I went away for a while. Looked at the Civic's site but it appears they will only be selling the standing tickets. When I looked again at Songkick the first ticket I had been offered appeared again so I bought it. Cost £55 ticket, £5.50 service charge, £2.50 delivery = £63 total. Of course it is only a small balcony at the Civic but I didn't expect tickets to go so fast. Glad you got a ticket. I had a look at the Albert Hall gig because the Civic Hall website says its sold out. And its pretty nearly sold out. I could have got a single seat but not a pair together. A venue with capacity of 5k+ is nearly sold out, so maybe that's why they went so fast. Also I suspect the seats would go fast too, if the venue is mostly standing. Not a mission that they are nearly sold out. A small proportion of tickets were put on presale...allows them to suggest they are selling really well. Tell you what, if the venue sells out, I will pay for your ticket...if it doesn't sell out, I am allowed by the mods to generally abuse the so called current fans for the bounce of numpties that they are the disgrace they are for going to this pish...btw, I will do the deal on either of the halls selling out

From the email, included a quote from Rossi....FFS 😬😡 These shows will be fully acoustic and feature additional musicians, including female backing vocalists. This 2017 Winter Tour will be the second such set of dates to take place without guitarist Rick Parfitt, whose tragic death at the end of last year shocked and saddened Quo and their fans, but left the band newly motivated to perform and honour these songs to a fan base that remains equally enthused. Francis Rossi said, "Things are not the same, nor should they be, but the show goes on because band and fans alike still love this amazing music." Funny, that doesn't sound even slightly like Francis.

Not particularly wanting to go see Quo = sad, but not having to wrestle with the online ticket buying = Result! It's an ill wind that blows no good at all. (I shall be annoyed with myself for having said that one day. We are clearly supposed to suffer for our Art - online ticket allocation is clear proof of that )

Funny, that doesn't sound even slightly like Francis. His actual words were: "Things are not the same, nor should they be, but the show goes on because I still love this amazing money."

The Wolverhampton gig is mainly standing and that part won't sell out but the balcony seats will. So I am correct I think if it had been all seated like last time it would sell out. Having to stand all the time excludes many people. We'll see on the night.

It does sound very much like Simon Porter.
