I assume it was a complete lack of single success that caused the album to be shelved? Did they finish it?
Do I remember correctly that Bernie's partner posted on the old message board that he hit hard times? I may have that completely wrong.

I do still have the story from the old message board about Bernie... I'll have a look for it Edit; Found it "He's had lots and lots of nothing but bad luck! He lost a rented house (after an army of police kicked him and his family put due to not paying rent) cause of his lack of money managing and also cos an old manager (David walker) wasn't really treating him as well as he could have. His family were left homeless. With nowhere to go they had to sleep rough for many weeks. He has the utmost respect for Francis and always stuck up for him. Bernie has just given up and just survives now." Not too sure about what happened with the album... Only 2? singles were released. Jealousy in October and Modern Romance in May

But he must have earned some doe on the Proposin' single as well as the other Frossi-Rost collaborations? Or did he have a nose problem as well?
Let's see.... He wrote some 55 "songs" with tafkar from 1978 to 1999, peaking at Thoisty Woik with 9(!) items. Then a big fat nothing.
Strange, but methinks one of the original members of the outfit did what he does... lovely chap.
Would be interesting to know the story.

He was probably hitting the coke hard considering he'd have been around the nosiest of them all, Mr. Rossi... what was the last track they both wrote together?

I assume it was a complete lack of single success that caused the album to be shelved? Did they finish it? A complete lack of artistic merit more like. Synthesized accordian on "Jealousy" i notice!

Without putting myself through audible torture, do we know if all the parts of Jealousy were re-recorded or did they re-use parts like the vocals and lead guitar?

Think the vocals and lead guitar were the only things reused... The rhythm guitar from the 'Quo' version was scrapped and redone by the sounds of it, synths were added and new drum (machine?) track was recorded

Just to add when it comes to The Sheik and his jaw dropping resistance to interrogation he turned up for his 237th water boarding wearing trunks and carrying an inflatable lounger!
