Just announced Via FB.
"Status Quo would like to thank their fans for all of your kind messages over the last few weeks. In Rick's memory, the band – and as previously announced - will continue to honour their already scheduled live commitments for 2017, continuing with guitarist Richie Malone. Fans wishing to pay their personal respects to Rick will be able to do so later in the year at a memorial event which will be announced in late Spring."

Think that's a very bad call, insurance reasons or promoter fees or not.
Memorial event will hopefully be great

Memorial event will hopefully be great I am going to almost agree with you here yes maybe the gigs should have been cancelled out of respect. However it was unlikely and if this brings more money for Tommy and Lilly Parfitt then I don't have a problem with it. As the Parfitt estate will know get any profits from Ricks share of Quo LTD.

One would hope so. It's the right thing to do but, again, who knows with Rossi and Porter? I'm not even having a pop at them, I just hope they do the right thing here. Interestingly enough, I do wonder if insurance fees and promoter fees etc would be waved away, seen as how Rick has passed on now and he was Quo and the stress it could have caused other people in the band etc

As it looks like his death had nothing to do with his heart problems. However as the band had to carry on insurance people would just say "You replaced him in June what's the problem". That's the world we live in today litigation rules our lives.

Glad to hear there will be an event. I hope this current band are playing at it..if they are I won be there..
And no surprise about the show continuing on in 2017 . No doubt we will hear they have to continue in 2018 due to that swiss concert.

I'm also pleased there's going to be a memorial for Rick. Let's hope that's what it is - a memorial to Rick. This will be for the fans. Not sure I'd want the current line up there :- this is for R. P.

It'll be both Aquostic albums start to finish. "It's what he would have wanted".

It'll be both Aquostic albums start to finish. "It's what he would have wanted". As a medley and with some special new songs that he wanted the current band to record sung by Richie.

Don't know whether it's a fake or not but it seems this apparently appeared on the internet a few hours ago but was deleted again. Wouldn't be anything new, the reunion dates have been "leaked" too and got deleted only to be confirmed a few days later.

Looks legit but pinch of salt until properly announced. If it's a single night at the Hammersmith Apollo it'll sell out in minutes though.

If it's a Hammersmith it won't be getting filmed cause IT'S FAR TOO EXPENSIVE for Quo. 21st July...
Who knows how true this could be. Time to play the waiting game

Who knows how true this could be. Time to play the waiting game Quoincidence was it you who put the video / phone clips taken by fans at Hammersmith together ? Agree with you about the money issues regarding filming , how awesome would a decent film of the reunion gigs at Hammersmith been ? Such a frustrating wasted opportunity gone for good now , thanks to the " management " . Is the 21st of July a Thursday night in the UK ? Is that really the only time they can book the venue , nothing earlier / later on a Saturday ? 21st of July 1984 MK bowl , are they looking for some kind of symmetry / closure / fuck me even nostalgia , by holding the tribute on this day ? Odds on - Matt and Jeff join in , Evens - Wayne Morris , Brian and Roger , Long shot - John and Pete , Rank outsider - Alan
