Let's celebrate the life of Rick. Yes we will miss him. But he has left us with so many great memories.
What a night this was at Hammersmith.

And I think we can help a bit with how Rick is remembered. The media have mostly been hopeless (the obituary in the Guardian of all places being the best I've seen)
Anyone any good at making short videos?
Would be great if we could all take to social media and say "THIS was Rick Parfitt" - and show our video
What would be in it?
For me, I think back to the EOTR video with Rick, legs apart, standing back against the wall of death....headbanging as ROLD kicks in. He really was the perfect rock powerhouse, dripping in cool and authenticity. I guess a shot of Rick banging out the intro to Caroline would have to be in it too....preferably with him scratching the old barnet before getting going....

Our own Quoincidence - has already made two tributes. Posted in this thread in the Rick Parfitt section.

Who can forget this memorable performance. Never forgotten by those that were there. We were privileged.

You couldn't have put a better clip on than 4500 Times, I had been watching the clip earlier on in the day, I was lucky to be there that night and remember how much he was enjoying himself

Hi All, We should also remember Rick's wicked sense of humour, his funny side shines through in these videos especially a really funny interview clip immediately below......
Racing Dogs Bollocks!!!..... Who could forget his TISWAS appearances... Not forgetting these outtakes... Geoff.

Hi All, Remember Rick's funny side a really funny interview clip......
Racing Dogs Bollocks!!!..... Who could forget his TISWAS appearances... Geoff. In that last clip, with all those kids, Rick looks absolutely buggered and it'd be the last place you'd want to be.

Would love to pull together a compilation of all of Rick's funny bits in so many interviews. Just on official releases there is so much like the Dogs Bollox, Tele Communication, Boat Shenanigans with Patty, Live Aid making of, Rock Till You Drop - so much great, warm humour.

I stumbled across this and thought I'd watch a couple of minutes of this clip but ended up watching it all. Just Rick as himself and no silly stuff he use to do when Francis was with him.
