Rick co wrote so much good stuff. What a loss, reckon he would with friends come up with a great solo album.

Will never understand how he could hit those high notes, in his prime, without even straining
Rick was always capable of coming up with gems. Even something like Hold Me has its merits and he came up with the only Christmas song, in 20 odd years, that I can listen to

Hold Me in particular one of the better Quo songs in recent years.

Must say, 'an evening with' would have been good. I bet at least Spud was lined up for that. :-(

With Rick it is difficult to know.
If I'm honest I would ave had low expectations for the album. It's a long time since I have really liked a Rick song on an album. But sadly it's not to be.

It's funny.. I'd be curious to see what Rick songs were left off certain albums, over the last 20 years. They could have been good enough and they could have been left off purely for reasons that weren't related to the quality of the songs Regardless, as you say, it's not to be.... Fuck it, I'm gonna make my own tribute to Rick.

Was actually going to buy a white Fender Tele, with a black pickguard, and play it at every gig so every punter will have a reminder of Parfitt. They aren't escaping the Parf And dedicate our album after him. Goes without saying

All his tracks that were used as Quo B-sides were more Quo than Quo themselves at the time. Pip Williams would have been a great lead guitarist for PLC, in the background. He wrote some cracking stuff with Rick too. IMO.
