Ah... what was the first track?? Ain't Complaining according to Google. Probably the best track along with One For The Money (fuck knows why I like that one) and Burning Bridges. Oh, and Who Gets The Love? is a good song.
Honestly, I can't remember any of the other pish that filled the rest of the album, therefore ot scores a solid 3 out of 10.

I only had this, the last "Quo" album I had on vinyl, as it was a gift. Although I actually quite liked I Know You're Leaving & Who Gets The Love? [was there a longer version with a pedal steel guitar on it?] so 1/10 again.

The Reason For Goodbye and Lean Machine should've been on the album. Production of the album is too much lightweight.

Like dont mind if I do (good solo), the lovin game, who gets the love
The title track is a good song, ruined by the production. Same BB, which here is twee and awful. The 12" remix of AC is a complete embarrassment, as was the 12" of running all over the world which soon followed
At the time I loved Magic, now I think it's ok, but still really like that opening guitar and vocal.
I bought my first CD player as this came out, and I think the band then were seriously thinking about how to be contempory in the CD era.
Strange times. The album cover still makes me wince. The tour was great. Mindue, they were too slick and clean at the NEC, but the gigs I saw at Manchester GMEX and somewhere else I can't remember were *fantastic*
At the time I thought the album was very diverse and high quality, it just wasn't what I wanted from Quo. Having heard Lean Machine, I was of the view that Quo could still belt em out as good as ever - if only they wanted to, which sadly, they didn't. I think they wanted to be diverse like Queen.
I now think the album is very dated musical no-mans land.
As a band, I actually think they put more effort into this than most if not all that came after it. This is where they really tried to be a new band. So it's 8 for effort, and 3.5 for end product.

2/10.
A couple of decent ballads. The new Status Quo, not for me.

The title song/single ' Ain't Complaining' was my next 'OMG' moment to follow the one with 'Dreamin' on Saturday morning telly with the previous album.
This time, it happened whilst watching Eastenders and they had it playing on the Queen Vic jukebox in the background
I still bought the album and like some of the songs on it. But it does sound very very dated, and far too '80's'!! Can't think of a number to vote.
FWIW, I studiously have avoided Eastenders (and the other soap regulars) for years ...

0/10. The album that was the breaking point for the hardcore fans. An album that desperately tried to modern and diverse but only showed how they could never in a million years be the "Fleetwood Eagles" type of band that Francis Rossi so desired them to be.

Although I haven't played it for a few years, I feel more amenable about Ain't Complaining than I do about its predecessor and successor.
I really don't think I could stomach ITAN or PR, but I'd quite happily stick AC on. In fact I bought it recently 2nd hand vinyl because I'd only bought it on CD at the time. Have yet to actually play the vinyl, mind.
There's some good songs on there. You see, I also like Thirsty Work for the same reasons. There's some really interesting, melodic songs on both albums.
So I'd probably give this a 6 out of 10.

Did not like it at the time at all and it has not aged well either. In particular I have always despised the title track, horrid sounding song. 1/10 simply because Who Gets The Love is OK.

The solo at the end of Don't Mind If I Do is really good.
