Remember it well Viv. A cold weekend in Paris a great Quo concert and the denim army rubbing shoulders for 2 nights, with the fur coats and Armani suits brigade at the 5* Sheraton Hotel in the heart of Paris, Priceless.

I seem to remember there was some trouble at the concert, am i right ? Because of you and and a few others (including me) having bladder problems, the owners of the cafe wouldn't let us leave until this part of Belgium was smelling like bleach.. resulting with the Quo Army arriving late. We arrived at the concert during the 3rd number I think, after the 80 year old woman let us straight in without checking our tickets as we could hear Quo playing and there was 9 coach load of irriated Quo fans, trying to get in. .

Those Paris pictures bring back memories, thanks for posting. Did you ever think about growing a 'tache Dave?! That outfit looks a bit like an homage to Alan!! I think a French guy posted some great pics of the gig on the old MB, can you remember who it was? I still haven't found my photos but I didn't have many. I thought I had one of the coach but it may be that I remember the picture that was in the later tour programme. Yes it was a fabulous trip (and really cheap too!!). I remember how amazed we were seeing the plush carpets when all of us scruffy denim clad people entered The Sheraton! At the concert, one of the crew, a little man called George (I think) asked a group of us if we would like to go backstage to meet the band! Well of course we did and my friend Carol and I and a few others of the British contingent got the guys autographs just before they went on. Francis was chatting to us, saying he thought we were mad to travel all that way and out front the crowd were Quo o o o o ing impatiently and he yelled "shadup" at them! Happy Days!!!

The picture taken in front of the Eiffel Tower was taken on a crisp sunny morning and I'm suffering from a hangover from spending the previous night at a over priced bar near the hotel. My mate Pete and I missed the prepaid tour of Paris as we got up late and also missed breakfast. We spent the day on our own tour, going up the Eiffel Tower, travelling on the Metro and drinking coffee outside street side cafés on the Champs-Ēlyseés. After talking to other Quo fans on the trip, they said we've must of had a better time as they spent most of the time on the coach. I remember seeing an article in the next Quo Tour programme reviewing the Paris gig Viv and you and your friend Carol got a mention. I can also remember the picture taken with the article wasn't taken at the same gig.. I'll have to dig out that programme. It was about now on the evening of 18th February I arrived home.

Yeah that's right we were late. That's when the scuffleing ( for want of a better word !! ) broke out ! Can't remember much of the concert ! But then i can't remember most of the concerts in the late 70s onwards. I do remember that £50 i lent you though!!
