Fookin shit album , yet another album that was so disappointing back then . One question , why should any album be remixed ? surely the original is how it was meant to be and if they fooked it up so be it , if you didn't like the remixed one would you have that remixed yet again !!!!!!!! Some people like the songs, but not the arrangements. And John Eden did some good things on RAOTW so stripping the album down to its guitar-heavy core could be interesting.

If John Eden would do it, the same way he treated RAOTW and had the original tapes? Absolutely YES! Accident Prone was originaly 9 minutes long with a shuffle intro. I would realy love to hear how the record was recorded, without the edits. I think the sound was way better than RAOTW and I loved the backgound singers and the brass sections. John Eden is THE man to do it, IF the tapes are to be found.

They did apply the Aural Exciter again but it didn't dilute the sound too much, still would be interesting to hear a more down-to-earth, less produced version. I've looked at the track times for the bonus disc, even with a nine minute Accident Prone I think it could all be crammed on one disc. If in doubt they could lose the single edit of Accident Prone, as it's on compilations as well IIRC.

I wouldn't want John Eden to go to all that trouble again for so very little reward. But then again, music's in his heart so he himself would see it differently.
If you remix IYCSTH, where do you stop? I think RAOTW desperately needed remixing, but the other albums should be left well alone as products of their time.

The albums should have been produced right in the first place , but that said 70-80% of the tracks after BFY where terrible .

Well he himself talked about looking into JS & NTL and koeeaddi's first reaction over at CnC was "why those albums and not the Heat album?" And Alan has expressed dissatisfaction with the horns and backing singers on IYCSTH, so his involvement on the RAOTW remix would lead to some interesting possibilities.

You gotta know how to unpick things if you don't do them right the first time. But you also gotta know when it's not worth the effort.

You gotta know how to unpick things if you don't do them right the first time. But you also gotta know when it's not worth the effort. My wife does a lot of handicrafts and had been struggling for 3 years with a particularly tricky cross-stitch that she wasn't finding much fun. A friend, who is an especially neat cross-stitcher, at the local craft club offered to take it off her hands for her. My wife was pleased. After a few weeks she wondered how her friend was getting on with it. She found out soon after, when the friend brought the kit back - totally unpicked, the material washed, ironed and folded as new, and the remaining threads all neatly wound up and organised! Talk about "Back to SQ.1" ! I tried cross stitching a belt once. It went wrong when the belt went wonky (as stitching fabric tends to do given half a chance). After about 15 years I gave up and regretfully it went in the bin. Pity, it had a dragon's head and "Valhalla I am coming" on it. Actually, I might have put it on the garden bonfire!
