I suppose it's a bit too late now with the deluxe edition already on Amazon (though RAOTW was postponed for years even if the remix only took a few months!). But I still think it would be interesting to see how people would think about it, based on RAOTW and/or how they think about the album.

Personally I don't feel it needs one, but would still by one if it ever came about.

No. I would rather smother my God-given scrotum in liquidised peanuts and then watch as an army of garden birds slowly peck their way through it, while my sister is torn apart by wolves. A feckin disgraceful album. I'm starting to suspect that you don't really get on with your family Davy

For me the main problem with this album was more the songs than overall sound. Yes, the majority of us think the brass sections and female singers are unnecessary, maybe it would have been nice to have these removed for cd 2 on the deluxe, hey ho, but yes I think I would buy into any Quo album remix just out of interest because I'm a fan. I do actually like some of the stuff, I think Again and Again for example is a great track and a great single, just maybe 1978 was the wrong year for it, after what Quo had already put out there before single-wise if you know what I mean, but if there hadn't been Status Quo 1970-1977, then a band come and put Again and Again out, are we saying we wouldn't have got into them? As far as Rossi's shorter solos go, I think the lead break in this is one of Rossi's better ones. Let Me Fly is a song I really like, but needs an intro and the brass adds nothing to Status Quo in my view. Prefer shorter Accident Prone single to the longer album version, just think it benefits well from the solo coming in early, it's different for Quo, but a groovy little tune really. Like A good Girl is ok, Oh What A Night, yeah both ok, if a little average I guess for Quo. That's this albums problem, too average or poor in places from a songwriting or maybe being more accurate, from an arrangement point of view, they are two different things really. The sound compared to the original RAOTW album was fine to my ears, with the exception of the brass, but the guitars and bass seemed crunchy and in the right places. So RAOTW had the tunes, just not the sound and IYCSTH seemed to have a better more punchy sound, guitar-wise at least, but not the tunes.

Fookin shit album , yet another album that was so disappointing back then . One question , why should any album be remixed ? surely the original is how it was meant to be and if they fooked it up so be it , if you didn't like the remixed one would you have that remixed yet again !!!!!!!!

I took a wild guess...should have put the 'Fijian' thing(the B word has the same effect as the Scottish play)

I played this the other day and its better than 1982 or BTB.It wasn't helped by the dreadful first single that confirmed every critic's(mates especially)"they all sound the same" line.
Again again again again, again again again again Why don't you do it, why don't you do it again Again again again again, again again again again Why don't you do it, why don't you do it again Again again again again again again again Deeper and down

The band had realised that they didn't have to make good rock music any more .
