I remember being at a disco around Christmas time in '86, when a dj friend of mine, said over the mic, "....this for my mate Dave, who's a big Quo fan, this is the 12" version of their current single Dreaming" So for that alone, I give the album 2/10, but I did like Rolling Home. great story! He has a lot of stories! Must do a book, Dave!

Don't want to listen to it as it isn't Quo.
Status Quo, doff thy name and for that name which is no more part of thee take Panto.

3/10...only tracks I like are Rollin home, Red Sky and Overdose Totally agree dreadful album & it would get a damn sight worse with the next 2 as well, the band i`d loved since `74 were finished replaced by a very poor imitation dont get me wrong ive been to a lot of shows over the years well over 100 ff & cq & enjoyed them mostly but the albums really after JS & NTL were pretty shite imo HT showed promise bits of RTYD were ok but the rest sit on my shelf gathering dust as part of the collection.

A very poor album by a band that I no longer recognised. They didn't even sound that much like Quo live, to me. I thought some of the b-sides would have improved the album - actually, I supect I'd have prefered Rick's solo album. 1/10.

Well - it was certainly not meant as an insult to him, but rather a statement that I don't like the cover, and I don't like that marillion one either - it is only my opinion - and after all, look at what I wrote about the music. I don't want to hurt the band's feelings either you know. I was joking (and trying to find the most angry-looking cover of his). But while you may not like the cover (and it's surely not his finest hour), Mark Wilkinson is a great cover designer up with the likes of Rodney Matthews, Storm Thorgerson and Rodney Matthews. Joe Petagno , epic covers

Adore it tbh. Although, album should have been:
Rolling Home Calling In your eyes Save me Army Lonely End of the line Invitation Red sky Don't give it up Overdose
Far better than the previous two albums and better than the two that came afterwards

Praising it against those albums is like offering a glass of water to a man in the desert. Not a good album, if it wasn't Status Quo I wouldn't have listened to it a second time. 2/10.

By 1986 id forgotten about QUO , the LEGEND band had exploded BIG time and became one BIG joke . Seeing them on TOTP was like watching some 2 bit band that you'd watch on holiday .

Contractually obligated album for cash to put up their noses.
Cobbled together from material by other writers, covers, old songs, both Rick and Francis' solo cast-offs, and Dreamin' which deserves it's own category (perhaps called "simply their worst ever"), it was never going to be an album of intent or the WE'RE BACK exclamation it claimed to be. Very inconsistent and disjointed and i very much doubt something they were particularly proud of or much interested in.

Dreamin and it's feckin synth trumpets...blurgh... I thought they were supposed to be saxophones.... terrible anyway. It's a shame because that song could have been made into something, had it been recorded much earlier.
