Just a fun question..who do you consider more Quo today John Coughlan Quo or Francis Rossi's Quo?
Both groups have now one a piece in original members.

No Quo without a singer who sounds like Rossi!
(It's arguable now whether Francis qualifies!)

For me it's John Coghlan's Quo. I've never seen Rossi's Quo, but in the last 4 years I've seen John's band 7 times. I prefer to watch John's band, because they play the set list I grew up with and I rather watch the band in a more intimate venue then pay 3 times as much at much bigger venues.

Depends on what's your Quo.
If you like the FF Quo era, then for me, its JCQ , who play the throwback stuff in small cracking hot and sweaty venues AND as an added bonus you can have a pint with them before and after the gig or..
If you like the happy clappy mess around Quo that the band have morphed into AND you want a good night of entertainmemt then its Status Quo. You can watch these in souless sterile auditoriums at thrice the price, fronted by a fella , who makes disparaging comments about his former fans and band mates.
Easy for me, with my own personal preference for the former rather than the latter...however..
There is no right or wrong though is there? It's all Quo and you can even like BOTH if you want...You can you know it's ok...

How many years service in Quo, added together, do the current members have? It's way over 100. A large proportion of the set was written by 3 of the current members
John, on the other hand, better delivers what I want SQ to sound like. So it can easily be argued either way.
Johns band should record an album, that would be interesting ! Looking forward to catching them in Coalville in May
And yes John is happy to chat to fans. I've only seen his band once, my wife had to push me towards him as I suffered a Waynes World bout of "I'm not worthy" 😊

It's entirely subjective: JCQ!

I'd go along with that DTIM [speaking as someone who's only seen JCQ on youtube/video!] Gotta say though, having seen Status Quotes on here last week they'd get my vote over either JCQ or FRQ - easily. But yeah, you're spot on - you can like one or either or both or none G

Neither . One of the bands you mention have never existed. Status Quo are still in existence !! So completely stupid question. What defines Status Quo are what they are today. Nothing is more Quo than what Status Quo currently are. Statistics will show that Status Quo recently had a Top 10 studio album.

Status Quotes were absolutely superb at Minehead. Only seen them on You Tube, but certainly took the set list to another level. Top cuts

If you're going to be pedantic about the original post referring to Francis Rossi's Quo & commenting that such a band has "never existed", then it seems rather hypocritical to start wittering on about Status Quo as, to be equally pedantic, Status Quo aren't mentioned in the original post. So, a completely stupid answer.
