But if you look at that chart list, I don't know any of the names of those artists. It surprises me to still see Quo up there, even briefly. They've had their heyday, late 70s/80s. I wouldn't expect what you wish for because times have moved on. My teenage self could never have imagined a world without the Quo. Then as I grew up, I realised that was probably unrealistic. But now 51 years after their first hit with POMM, they can still have an album which enters the top 10 album charts. And with all the streaming options to listen too. I'm truly amazed. And teenage me is smuggly delighted. [okay, I've looked at the chart again and I have heard of Queen, Elton John and Fleetwood Mac - but looks like older classic material not new songs. But all the other artists are the current favs.] Yep, same here Whereas the grown up cynic thinks, the bond with the band who have ejected founder members as Francis no longer wants them is longer broken. They have had rotation on national radio, tv appearances in prime time and very good reviews but still can’t get into the Top 5.

I say it as I see it. My Status Quo died when Francis with Rick stabbed Alan in the back. I don’t buy their kool aid. The facts speak for themselves. Rick also was dumped at the end. Francis pulling the we are stopping card yet again. Events transpired that Rick left the band, but let’s not forget Francis wanted the band to stop and wasn’t willing to wait to go out with a bang, with a 50 and out tour. Rick leaves and surprise surprise Francis wants to continue.

The facts speak for themselves. It's been almost 35 years since your Status Quo finished then, there is no wonder you don't like the new album. Status Quo have a top ten album again, They should be proud. Anyway they have gone back up now.

Rossi is not that saved Status Quo he has destroyed Status Quo and is now very happy with his employees. They destroyed themselves if you mean the FF. Francis and Alan barely speaking since the late 70s so it was obvious the band would split or one would leave but has been documented on here often the record company wanted "the face" of the band so wouldn't work with Alan, awful I know but with record companies there's no scruples, only money matters. History then repeats itself with Rick, he and Francis barely on speaking terms by around 2010, the fallout from the FF reunions poisoning what was left of their friendship even more. How was Rick dumped? He was physically incapable of touring with his heart problems, would you sooner they did an electric farewell tour and he died on stage? Rick's death was a tragedy, he could like Dan McCafferty have had a post live retirement career as a solely studio artist but fate stepped in and stopped that. Francis is no saint, he's always been awkward, aloof, contradictory and a complete pain in the *** as times but he isn't a heartless bastard. Why shouldn't he carry on if he wants? It's a sad fact that sometimes when one member is no longer in a band it makes the remaining members happier and more a band again, I've experienced that in my own career. Working with someone you're constantly arguing and disagreeing with just makes recording and touring torture for all involved.

I can only assume you are trying to be a wind up again. We are all a product of events and how we perceive them.

I understand what you mean bluehighway but I am not convinced. The behavior of Francis in all the years speaks an another language.
More or less every famous band needs a break after some years of constantly working together but normally after a while they will come together again but not with Rossi he wants to be the only boss.
You never heard a good word from him about the old line up only negative things about the 3 Frantic Four guys.
