Sometime in the 90's we got a bit told off in the tour programme..... Stop asking for the old lineup to reform its never gonna happen, we don't want to send listeners home with ears bleeding etc
A virtue was made of making the set "more accessible*
Never understood why they never take a risk with 2nd song in. They open with Caroline... so the casual punter would stay with it if the 2nd song was unknown and very heavy, especially if followed by another hit
Imagine as soon as the opener ends, lights out and the opening sounds of the full length MS...

Why they have to open with Caroline forever is beyond me. But if they had to do a second song different why not I saw the Light or something like that Cheers

But if they had to do a second song different why not I saw the Light or something like that Cheers First night of the Riffs tour they opened with Down Down and had a completely different setlist... then the following night it was back to the same old, same old
