So 2-3 year old Live footage, photo shoot video and animated lyric = music / promo video?
Could they have not just played the track live at the most recent gigs, filmed it and used that as a promo perhaps? or even hired out a studio and put effort into an actual promo video...

The video sucked, there's no two ways about it. But the song isn't bad at all. In fact, I like it. But it's not Quo, it's Francis Rossi's Quo. The real Quo, if one wishes to argue that it still exists at all, is John Coghlan's Quo.

I thought it was alright, not the best video granted but not the worst.

Ok, perhaps it’s not quite as good as “Something bout you baby I like.”

It's a million miles away from the 'Roll Over Lay Down' live ep video, then again so are the current band.

Haha...yeah the cringe fest of the SBYBIL & DJ video’s Godam awful to watch now ! Hehe, I didn't mind them. I wonder if the blonde dude in the SBYBIL video actually was a Quo fan, and what he's up to now. Rick and Marietta were friends with Kevin Godley (10cc) and his wife. Possibly how he and his Video making partner Lol Creme (10cc) came to make Quo's 'Something bout you Baby I like' video. Those two made videos for just about everybody who had been big on the scene at the time in the 80s. Sting, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Duran Duran, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, George Harrison, McCartney, Graham Parker, the list goes on and on...and Status Quo of course! The Quo video looks dated now because it is, but at the time it would have been where it's at, tech wise. My brother commented at the time about how good the Whatever You Want video was, looking at it through his technical eyes.

I'm assuming you would know. You dismiss Status Quo as Status Quo and call them a made up name of Francis Rossi's Quo (that band name doesn't exist). Then you go on to say if there is a real Quo, it's JC's Quo ( A tribute band ) so I am assuming I would know. If you meant like 4th has said that they sound more like the FF than anybody then that's a different argument altogether. Go back a small amount of years and you were more than happy with the current band at the time if memory serves.

having a member of the original band in his own band does not make JC Quo a tribute band. But it is Francis Rossi's Quo in all but name only it's only called SQ to sell tickets and is a brand name.

John Coghlan´s Quo and the actual Status Quo have for me the same status. Only one original member and both band are living from the past.
With the exception of the vocals the band from John is much nearer on the "real" quo sound than the other group from Francis and his friends.
In 2013/14 there was the real thing.
