I didn't pick up on it when I read the book, only when I listened to the audiobook recently, but Frame was talking about the failed singles from Flying Debris and thinks that if Quo had recorded Jealousy it would have been a smash hit........

Definitely wouldnt say its Quo. The only thing difference on the Rossi / Frost single version is the drumming and a few additional synths

I know I am in the minority with this...but for some strange reason I never minded that song all that much. It's not any of my favorites, but I don't mind hearing it. Maybe it was some sort of attempt to get into the charts in the spirit of how music was developing

Maybe it was some sort of attempt to get into the charts in the spirit of how music was developing I always thought She don’t fool me an odd choice of single. Jealousy would have been a hit. Most singles were. A huge hit. Maybe the 80s charts were full of fluffy hits. Do J need to mention MT. Quo’s loyal support got the singles in the chart. Then some crossed over to be bigger hits.

I'm another in the camp of I quite liked it too. Its catchy. And I wasn't in a great place when it came out and the angry vibe struck a chord (sic) with me.
Interesting that Quoincidence doesn't think the rest of the band are on this? And now you point that out, it doesn't sound like it. Actually, I'd have been interested to hear a heavier version with Al, John on it too, and of course Rick.

Was released as a single in Ireland, Spain, Germany and Holland.
Calling The Shots, sung by Andy, was the B-side in Ireland and Holland.
I Love Rock and Roll was the B-side in Germany.
Riverside was the B-side in Spain.

The Bass is synthetic, and the drums are definitely a simple loop done on a drum machine. Can't really hear Rick on it singing or playing guitar either. Just Francis Rossi and Bernard Frost. Simply a demo until they could properly work on it for the Flying Debris album, and tbh I prefer the 1985 version than the "Quo" version Cheers

For me it’s not album I listen to much but it has its moments. Some songs that could have been better with different production. Prefer it to anything up to UTI after it.
