'Don't Waste My Time' seems to cross the musical taste divides with folk I know. Just works. A joy to hear the FF play it at the reunions and fairly sure Francis was taken a back by the fever pitch when they played it and especially when it was the hands in the air time during the song.
Interesting to think that Bernie Frost had a hand in one of the tracks that long ago on 'Piledriver'. Think he was a pal of John Coghlan (?) in those times and then he teamed up with Alan Lancaster on the songwriting front. One of those 'strange but true' scenarios.

Going to have to dig this out again. Not heard it in an age. JCQ did All The Reasons and it sounded great live. Didn't realise Softer Ride could have been on the Album, one of my fave tracks. The album cover - couldn't be anyone else, could it.

Absolutely cracking album. Only ‘ Oh Baby ‘ that doesn’t entirely float my boat but still not a skip. One of the heaviest Quo songs ever, especially when it kicks in. Head phones on high is a must for me.

Favourite Quo Album: 'Hello' [and 'Quo Live']

Aha - I always wondered if it was the same Frost!

"Piledriver"... More Perfection from the FF - what a rich vein of form they'd hit from MKGS to "Live". That album-span is the Quo I fell for, hook, line and sinker and Piledriver is my joint 'top' along with 'Hello', 'Quo' and 'Live'. [Almost] Untouchable!

Yep agree with all of the above. From that brilliant heads down photo on the cover through to the last song, it ticks all the boxes for me... especially Big Fatty, it still sends tingles down my back as it did the first time I heard it....played very loud of course.

Well I had a bbq the other Sunday pm..just for my teenage son, my twenty year old daughter and her boyfriend..all very pleasant bit of smooth radio in the background...then they all buggered off leaving me with half a bottle of red and some spirits lol.
Had been playing Foreigners greatests hits in the car, so dug it out and put in on the lounge system patio doors wide open , volume up...played Feels Like the First Time, Urgent, Yesterday,Juke Box Hero etc ...really rocking out....fancied a change and stuck on Piledriver (sorry to waffle, but setting the scene).
Sounded so raw but tuneful and not too fast..what a blend of tracks..never underestimate the power of music to lift the soul..what a album this is..probably best not to play it too often..save for those special days. Peace and love and quality rock to all.

Always had On The Level , Dog and Quo in my joint top three albums. Just given Piledriver another go. I WILL have to now make it a top 4! Forgot how good it is. I put the promotion down to the fact that, unlike back in the day, I appreciate both Unspoken Words and All The Reasons significantly more. The latter even more so, following my recent JCQ gig. Think I am having a bit of a Quo resurrection as a result. Going to crank it up in the car next.Just a top album.

Took me at least 6 weeks to play all of it,going back on great bits and playing songs again.Won't attempt to disect or critique it's simply the best eight songs I've heard in one place by one band.
