Just watched clip on YouTube... and Francis seems to mess up WYW? Any idea what happened? See from 56.35... doesn't sing along with chorus then cuts off Bown.

Mystery song is getting played and the crowd are just stood there !,guessing the majority where thinking whats this song ?,if STATUS QUO had played it in 13/14 the place would be ballistic ! . Id love to go see Rossi just one more time 'as he wont be around for ever' but im guessing it would be a painful experience to the eyes and ears.

In musical terms it's what's known as a f**k up, which he obviously realises he's done from his reaction a few seconds later. Happens to the best even on songs you've played live hundreds of times. Other than that they still look on good form, playing as a proper band, which they hadn't been since the FF reunions until Rick's sad death. A couple of musician friends of mine were at the Wembley gig and both said Quo blew Lynyrd Skynyrd off the stage in energy levels and musicianship and left LS looking very jaded in comparison.

1) I think Quo had their longest break from playing reguarly from the end last year until that first gig in Germany on 3rd June. According to the gigography site this was their 11th gig in 2019. He always said that they get rusty if they haven't played regularly.
2) He was 70 in May, he's getting on a bit.
3) Sometimes if I know something too well, and goodness knows how many 100s or 1000s of times he's played those tracks, I forget where I am in it. I watched the clip and that is what I thought with I saw his mistake.
I've said on here before, I've been an actor, mistakes happen. Its the fun of watching something live. Not wanting the performers to muck it up but knowing that it is being performed live in front of your eyes. And how do you know its live? They make mistakes.
From the positive reviews on twitter and Instagram I read last night, people are impressed. Yes, they're casuals but they're genuinely loving their set.
If you like the current sound and fancy a look, I suspect you'll have a good gig. If like me you don't any more, then stay away.
That's why I went on the speaking tour, to see Francis live one more time after the reunion gigs.

That's why I went on the speaking tour, to see Francis live one more time after the reunion gigs. To me mistakes do help make a performance. Everyone laughs you move on. At this point if you go you are able to put everything else to one side. It’s going to be very good as most of the songs are outstanding. It’s like John’s band. Only a fool claims it’s Status Quo. It’s clearly not. Largely due to the vocals. But a good night out. I’ve decided to stop commenting on others enjoying performances. If they enjoy it good for them.

Yes it looks like a great gig... i thought perhaps the backing track they use for Bown's keyboard parts (to allow him to come to front to sing) had maybe been kicked in at wrong time so Rossi was catching them up with it.... but yea probably just a small slip!!

I was there too. Primarily to see LS as have always liked them but never seen them live. The arena was pretty much full when Quo came on and they went down a storm. Yes of course it’s not the same without Rick but they still sounded very good.

Again a bit like a broken record.

You on the other hand can’t wait to slaughter everything they do, a perfect example watching 30 seconds of a 1 hour gig. Have a day off.
