PS Thank you for the tip. My local Word (not very local) has either run out or it isnt' in yet. (He isn't sure. There's another book by someone-else Rossi on the shelves at the moment.) The website adds £2.99 postage. So it's back to plan B!

Well it’s a really great book so a bargain at any price! Got mine really cheap (£11) and got it signed by the man himself, result!

Got it by ordering on the Works website and going click and collect ... £6 and a not too long trip to collect it (plus parking money ). Enjoyed it, but he does go on a bit about Alan. I get that Alan could be a pain in the neck at times, but it's almost like Francis has something to prove ... He (Francis) does seem to have a way of getting what he wants in the end. Other fascinating revelation: Rick insisted that all his wives went blonde even if they weren't to start with. I wondered how he found so many!

I haven’t read the book and couldn’t be bothered tbh but I gather Alan and Francis probably clashed as top dogs with Francis winning in the end obviously. From what I gather, Francis was more aloof from the other band members even from back in the early days. It’s all his now.

The scariest bit is how easily "someone" managed to alientate Rossi and Bob Young.
Yet it was apparently Alan who first spotted that things didn't add up financially, around the time of his divorce, and Francis ignored him. (That's older stuff, not in the book.) Bob OTOH Francis might well have listened to, so it was important to get him out of the way.
