Making a living/economically viable touring = playing the hits. End of. Get over it. Especially if you don't even go to gigs.

Cheers What would be your setlist of choice for a 90 minute set that would be a viable alternative for the casuals who make up most of ticket buyers at the type of gig the band now play? For a start the songs I’d drop would be the utterly boring duo of Something Bout You Baby I Like, and The Oriental. Next to get the chop would be Beginning Of The End, Hold You Back, and Softer Ride. Quo rarely tour over here now but even I found Oriental, Something About, and In The Army quite painful to stand there to endure. There are quite a number of songs from the albums Quid Pro Quo or In Search Of The Fourth Chord which would easily slip into the set for the paying public....this giving the band a bit of a freshen up with the set list rather than the same old night after night year after year.

Gaz I agree about ITAN, never thought it fitted with Quo but sadly their biggest European hit in years so a must play for casuals. From the more recent albums a few numbers from Heavy Traffic would be good, I also liked The Party Ain't Over Yet as an up tempo number and I thought Let's Rock would make a great set opener instead of Caroline from the first time I heard it, still would with Richie singing it. The difficulty comes in that the modern songs didn't make much impact chart wise so aren't really known by the casuals, same with some of the brilliant album tracks from the classic 70s period. Another problem is Francis's seeming reluctance to share lead vocals more. I'd love to see a sprinkling of Alan and Rick songs come back, Over The Edge and Roadhouse Blues especially, but he'd have to let Richie take far more of the limelight and we all know the friction that led to with Rick in latter years.

Now get Francis off his lazy, self satisfied *** to rehearse it.
