Must be a year or so since my last listen. For some reason I went back to it yesterday and enjoyed it.
For me that's the test of a good album.....you end up going back to it.
Not brilliant, but definitely good, with some stuff there that's built to last. For me a better album that many of the Quo efforts that came after John left.

Wish they'd left Halloween off - it doesn't work with the rest of the album. Or re-recorded it leaving only Rick's guitar and vox but in the style of the new album. In fact, they could have done that with all the tracks from Recorded Delivery not already released. But a pleasing album and very well done given what they had to work with.
Now, about the SQ PLC tracks.....

Am still loving this album, apart from Halloween, which is just a crappy Half arsed typical 80’s metal track. The rest of the album is really good, a good mixing styles, and some quality guitar work from all concerned, particularly like Long Distance Love, and the title track.

I like this album, either mix, better than any studio albums from the Quo stable since 1980!

I like the album very much ! Favorites on the album for me are Twinkletoes (which reminds me a bit of ELO in the chorus), Lonesome Road, Fight for every heartbeat, Long distance love and Evrybody knows how to fly. I am not a ballad person but I do like Over and out and When I was falling in love. Halloween is one of the few eighties songs I liked. The only songs I am not keen on are without you and Lock myself away. So all in all a very nice and good album for me which is better then most of Quo's output after 1982.

I also listened to this the other day. Overall a very good album with some definite high points. I also like Halloween and am glad it's on here.

The thread made me go back and listen to Rick's samples again. There are a couple of songs I like (mainly Lonesome Road and Helloween), some which would be good on the radio, and some which don't appeal to me at all. A bit like Francis' last solo album in fact And the one I like best on that is Rolling Down the Road, which is a similar theme and sound to Lonesome Road (the songs aren't alike apart from that though).

Time for me has already been unkind to this album m.
It’s alright but not for me. Has a handful of decent songs.

'Everyone knows how to fly' and 'Lonesome Road' are the stand outs personally, listen to it occasionaly, and always makes me smile thinking of the Legend that was, is and always will be, Rick Parfitt

Just played it again tonight, it’s a cracking record. Stands the test of playing over and over like the early Quo albums.
The more you play it, the more lame 80’s throwback Helloween sounds so out place,, I can only imagine they’d levered it on there to pad album out.

I also love this album and play it every so often with affection. I really rate the new songs and think Rick would have been really proud of it. I also am not so keen on Halloween but from what I read in interviews, I gather that it was included because it was a great favourite of Rick’s and he wanted it on the album.

Almost like a great original idea gone wrongly produced...I do think the track has potential
