Wow thatβs excellent news thanks for that. Please please put me on your list for a copy Cheers will do! There is much less hiss, and the bass isn't as booming as it was on my previous source. Apparently it's from right up front at the barrier as well, which would explain such comments like "get off the fucking fence" you can Rick guitar come unplugged during BBJ as well, which is noticeable on the video during the final solo as his pedals go flying, and Alan's mic comes tumbling down also. I'll put up a preview of this copy. Cheers Only catching up with this now! Is this a 'Full Show' recording Luke? [missing tunes an' all!?] Hafta say I'd never noticed the flying pedals and tumbling mic incidents and I've watched those VHSs far too many times really! Ger

The only thing that is missing is the ending to Roadhouse Blues. Look just next to Alan's arm and you'll see his pedals go flying and a roadie come running on before it cuts, and then shortly following that you'll see a roadie come running on from the other side to pick Al's mic stand up Cheers

This is amazing stuff [btw, THANKS for letting us hear one of the 'Missing'!!] Will this be on your list of Boots, Luke? - it's astounding - certainly on another planet compared to some of the 'officially released' bonus stuff we've been given! G Thankfully yes, it's all of the same quality The private film shot from the back of the bowl by a gentleman called Steve Plant has also been converted. He also filmed both Nazareth and Marillion that day which would be interesting to see if anyone on here purchased those from him(?). I've only ever seen the combination of this footage and the pro-shot released footage, but thankfully Andy had a copy of just the Aud. shot footage. We are going to try and combine the audio from the camera footage with that bootleg and get as much of the full show we can... mainly the ending to Roadhouse Blues, and any bits where the cassette tapes had to be flipped. Cheers

The older version of this bootleg I had was full of tape hiss, and I remember having to speed / pitch correct some of the tracks due to it running much slower than it should have done... Here's the older copy... comparing this to the new source goes to show I was still way off with the speed corrections. Cheers

Gotta say Luke, the dream would be an edit of the Steve Plant video with the 2 official videos with your 'new' audio boot to fill all those missing bits. I know that the edits would be kinda demanding but still, we can dream! G

It's the first time I've heard the name of the person who filmed that video! [It's a flippin' HUGE file tho'!] The name only came about through the Rescued Recordings Facebook Group, as another guy in there [Steve Pike] gave us his name, as he had purchased off of him back in the day and still had the catalogues that he had done listing what gigs he'd filmed. Steve Pike is also the guy that gave me this new audio source for the MK gig, thankfully. Steve Plant recorded loads of gigs until he called it quits in '88. Apparently BBC had a cameraman working for them with the same name, so who knows if it could be him. Quite the coincidence regardless. I'm still interested in seeing the Marillion and Nazareth footage he has from that gig. Cheers

Here's a snippet of the Private Film with the new audio bootleg source over the top. The bootleg runs slightly faster than the footage so it's going to take some work sync'ing them up This snippet is of the QUO Lights coming on during Bye Bye Johnny, and then the fireworks, Quo leaving the stage and the QUO Lights going off. gerh Did the lights come back on whilst everyone left or? kursaal75Enjoy!

.... gerh Did the lights come back on whilst everyone left... Hey Luke [I know you didn't mean that this way... but] Yes, the lights DID go off - and they didn't come back on until March 6th 2013 in Manchester!!
Btw, thanks again for a brilliant piece of work Luke. No matter how many times I see that gig I actually still feel sad at the end of it. Strange.

Quo fans stood in disbelief whilst the QUO lights and roaming spotlights beam across them. Just watch the last 20 seconds of footage and all you'll see is Quo fans stood still... no one leaving 5 minutes after Quo had already left the stage. I feel / sense the sadness amongst them and I wasn't there, no matter how much I wish I was at that show... Cheers Gerh Take Care, Luke

Cheers Gerh Take Care, Luke Yep - I wasn't there that day either but it never fails to leave me sad, especially when I see the look on Rick's face at the end - he looks, I dunno, stunned and shocked or something like that, that it's come to this.
Strangely enough, to me anyhow, FR looks rather pleased that he's now 'free' - talk about a sign of things to come!! Surely the fans not leaving as you've said, is a 'not wanting to let go' because it could never be the same afterwards [boy, was that ever true!] Thanks as always Luke - you and your comrades keep the Real-Quo flame burning! G
