Great intro and love the timing change into the outro.

Totally agree. It’s a fantastic album and in my top 3 to be honest. It’s varied, different but still Quo. Quality songs ! More importantly it hasn’t bored me over the years when I play it as much as some of the classics have. I know it’s drawn a lot of debate over the years comparing it to JS but to me it’s. Better album on many levels !

Love the Never Too Late album, and prefer it to the Just Supposin' album... miles better

Just Supposin' and Never Too Late are two albums too much for me ... the FF should have stopped after Whatever you want. The Quo should have stopped after Whatever You Want, and the remainder could started the Status Rossi.

But I think a lot of the Status Quo story / legacy was created after 1979 to be honest. Not necessarily from a musical style sense but for other things. Something I think even Rick was proud of. I’d take that rather than just being remembered for 6 or 7 albums in the 70’s. Better to be remembered as Status Quo. Record breakers on many Levels than a Thin Lizzy. Who I actually like as well.

Going back to the track Riverside, I used to think it was the dog's doodahs. Great catchy tune and a powerful guitar sound that seemed to tease you as to where it was going. Round about the time of its release there used to be a TV programme called Riverside. I think it was on BBC2 early Friday evening. It was a youth/music magazine show. I was sure they would have put Quo on playing that, or used it as the title music. Bound to. BOUND to. But no! I still like it, but when I listen to it now it's seemingly missing that energy that I used feel.

I can accept that they tried to keep on going until 1985 even though 1982 and BTB isn't among their best work. But then they probably should have stopped.
