I guess you better throw Piledriver, Hello, On the level, Live, Blue for you etc.. in the trash then. Oh.. and skip Most people’s favourite track as voted here Slow Train. Oh nearly forgot, cover your ears during the Quo albums solo’s while your at it ! 😉 So you're debate technique is to distort what your opponent says and then take it to the point of ridiculousness? So let's really irritate you then: when Alan and John were gone, it wasn't Quo anymore, it became Quo Lite, as Rick himself said. Rhino in particular sucks. I haven’t distorted anything to be honest. Just gave you examples Regarding Francis contribution to the Quo album. Major contributions in my opinion. I’m fully aware of what Quo were and what Quo are now. Lived through and witnessed both periods. I just happen to still like the band where you don’t. Fare enough.

Actually, I like a lot of the post Quo stuff. Hate ITAN, but after that I've got most of the albums. I just don't consider them Quo, I consider them an entirely new band that calls themselves Quo. As Rick put it, Quo Lite. I know most of albums from that period by heart. When they're good, they're very good (but never great.) When they're bad, they're awful.
And Quo was never awful.

Not forgetting Francis is also one of the Founding Members and the Frontman. So Status Quo edge it in that argument imho. 😂 Maybe to you. But Rick and Alan were the heart of the band to me. This is simply a nostalgia band performing under the Quo name. John Coghlan's Quo is every bit as legitimate. I have to agree with that. John's Quo is as legitimate as a tribute band [careful wording here ;-) ] featuring a member/former member of the band of that name, as is the current official Quo. (Which also, to be fair, features three long term members who have been playing Quo music in numerous gigs per year over a very long number of years.)
John has another problem, though, which is that he does't have an original Quo vocalist. If he and Al could actually join forces, that would be really interesting, but there seem to be all sorts of barriers to that happening.
Personally, though, for me Francis is the heart of the band. Always has been. It's also the proof of the pudding that there is only so much a heart can do if it doesn't have all the other bits attached to it! He also slurs his lyrics at times. I don't know why. It seems to be deliberate. I can't tell whether he thinks he's being funny (I have a notion it might have started like that) or whether for his age he's pushing his voice and feels the need to take short-cuts, I don't know, but it's one of the reasons I have been standing back a bit. There wasn't any of that when he went out solo. If he's bored with a particular song, so that he doesn't feel the need to do a good job on it, he should drop the song.

They had their moments, but very few of them. I don't care at all for Blue for You (the track, not the album). To me it sounds like a spoof song, like Mystery Island (but not as bad as that). But some people love it. I never liked that kind of music in real life, which makes it more annoying. But that is just my personal taste.

Pity really as Janick Gers does absolutely nothing to the sound of Maiden, much better when it was just Adrian Smith and Mr Murray Cheers I agree with you there, one thing i don't like with Janick is how he is always running around stage doing OTT things with his guitar showing off. He is a good guitarist. But his stage antics are annoying at times. Bruce i get with his running around on stage, same with Steve when he has his moments in the zone of a song. Janick always ran around the stage. Bruce knew that when he hired Jan for one of his solo projects, and when he recommended him as a replacement for Adrian. It is not on record that either Steve nor Bruce ever had issues with how much space Janick took up on stage, which means he must have developed his steering skills early! Bruce apparently recommended Jan because he thought he would be "subversive" to Maiden, though in what way isn't clear. The result was that Janick got the job, and we got a blonde nutter who runs around the stage and contributes noticeably and usefully to the band's songwriting. And has nice legs. We must get the basics right in this band business.

If you think Status Quo is bad for keeping the original members and now calling it Francis Rossi band..watch Iron Maiden's documentary on YouTube,on how it all started..so many drummers, singers and guitarist, the only original and founder member is Steve Harris. But all those guitarists, drummers and singers Harris went through were before they actually recorded the first album. This is akin to saying Status Quo ceased to exist in their true form once Alan Key & Jess Jaworski left the band.
