If you think Status Quo is bad for keeping the original members and now calling it Francis Rossi band..watch Iron Maiden's documentary on YouTube,on how it all started..so many drummers, singers and guitarist, the only original and founder member is Steve Harris.

You miss the point people make. If you enjoy it still, enjoy. If Francis n his band members are happy good luck to them. If you think having Rhino sing is a good idea, I suggest you see a doctor.

Yes that was before they got Famous the various band members changing. Adrian Smith, Dave Murray were there when they got popular and released their first album. Paul Di'Anno got replaced because of his attitiude and drinking drug issues at the time. Which pissed of Steve Harris. Bruce quit because he was bored at the time hence why he got replaced. Adrian Smith agreed to leave Iron Maiden in 1990 as he did not approve of the direction the band were aiming for on their next album, No Prayer for the Dying. What is your point? As all bands have different members before they get famous or get a hit single? Also band members can leave quit etc for what ever reasons fallouts etc. Status Quo are no different in that regard.

Thanks Magicfingertips. I didn't know that. Its always good to remind ourselves that it isn't only Quo that went through all these changes. It happens in all bands.

Not forgetting Francis is also one of the Founding Members and the Frontman. So Status Quo edge it in that argument imho. 😂

Being as Steve Harris started the band himself because he wanted a band to play music how he wanted it played, a lot of people got their marching orders for one reason or another before he found the ones he wanted.

Well said. Other bands have huge changes it is true. Quo were a frantic four. Not a thrashing three with a front man.

Ridiculous assement in my opinion. They were all the heart of the band in their heyday ! Yes John has every right to play Quo songs and was the best Quo drummer bar non. JCQ play songs that I would love Quo to play but for me not equal in status. Only my opinion.

Right, only your opinion. Mine is different. At its peak the band was four people combining their talents, but my favorite Quo album was Quo, and by all accounts Rossi had the least to do with that album. Thus my statement.

I guess you better throw Piledriver, Hello, On the level, Live, Blue for you etc.. in the trash then. Oh.. and skip Most people’s favourite track as voted here Slow Train. Oh nearly forgot, cover your ears during the Quo albums solo’s while your at it ! 😉

So let's really irritate you then: when Alan and John were gone, it wasn't Quo anymore, it became Quo Lite, as Rick himself said. Rhino in particular sucks.

Also in Bruce Dickinson's autobiography, he said Steve Harris has always wanted 3 guitarist's Pity really as Janick Gers does absolutely nothing to the sound of Maiden, much better when it was just Adrian Smith and Mr Murray Cheers

He is a good guitarist. But his stage antics are annoying at times. Bruce i get with his running around on stage, same with Steve when he has his moments in the zone of a song.
