I happen to notice that many of my favourite musicians were born in 1949. Bruce, Joan, Mark and Francis to name but 4.
I was looking at his job sheet on the official site just now. He kicks off the book and speaking tour on 14th March. That continues until 20th May. And then he starts gigging again from 8th June until Sept. I wonder what his teenage self would think of this work-schedule?
Its quite a year to mark the end of his 7th decade.

indeed… quite many more, Alan, all 3 of ZZ Top, Mick Taylor, Cliff Williams, Roger Taylor, Andy Scott, Dio, Phil Lynott, Gene Simmons I even wrote (well, started to write… still needs some final touches) a song called The forty-niners - and as you might know, a century earlier these people called the forty-niners were the lucky few who were amongst the first gold diggers arriving in California and could secure the best claims. I even have handcuffs cufflinks made out of 1949 coins (UK sixpence, that is - the type of coin used by Brian May instead of a plec )

Unless of course you are going to record it and make a fortune! well, as I said it's not finished yet - could take some more time, as I work on songs sporadically… sometimes more, sometimes less. Holidays are a good time for that!
anyway, here's a video of me playing my "Railroad Log":
