First line up of Quo I ever saw was on the EOTR '84 Tour, St Austell Cornwall Colesium 6.7.1984, with Pete Kircher on drums, a fitting replacement (IMO) for JC, solid as you like (Think of his performance on MFTR '84 on '4500 Times, Top notch), shame he only got to play on '1982' and 'Back to Back' two 'poppy' and hardly Quo classics looking back on it, and following not being in Quo MK3 (shame) has hardly been heard from since, seemed odd he didn't even get an interview on 'Hello Quo', when Jeff Rich did? Anyone know why this happened? Or any recent news on PK (I'm aware of the sign writer/retired from the Bizz quotes by the way)

Hi Triggsy! I may be wrong here, but if I remember it right Pete actually was asked for an interview for the Hello Quo film, but he didn’t want to participate, as he said he has laid all about Quo behind him now. I also seem to remember from the old MB that Pete is working as a painter nowadays, designing different kinds of signs (sorry for my bad english, hope it’s understandable)

My favourite Quo drummer shame he didn’t carry on longer with the band. His playing on those two tours was outstanding and a fitting replacement for JC Cheers

Must have really cut deep when he got to see who had replaced him and the style he played.

Must have really cut deep when he got to see who had replaced him and the style he played. It sounded like no-one from the band even bothered to contact him and let him know. I went for a pish after Caroline at a gig in the 80’s and by the time I’d zipped up and gone back in they were playing Bye Bye Johnny! Good old Jeff!

Francis , “Pete didn’t seem too miffed he didn’t get the call”
Always thought that sounded like they didn’t give the guy a thought. Sounds very shitty to me.

He was approached to be interviewed but he sent a letter to Alan G. Parker kindly turning it down as he wanted to live a quiet life. TBH the way Quo got back together in '85 was very shady... as Andy Bown has mentioned, he didn't know anything about it until he and Iain Jones bumped into each other I really do wish that he would have done an interview for Hello Quo... He was in the band at the time it was falling apart and it would have been great to hear his story as I doubt he EVER touched drugs whilst with Quo, (You've got to remember he was much older than them), and he wouldn't have anything stopping him telling what he saw go one, whereas Andy Bown still has obligations with the band, so his story would be edited. Colin Johnson also proposed that Andy and Pete were on fixed contracts of £15,000 for each records as opposed to a percent Pete's a great drummer and gets a lot of unnecessary backlash simply because he was Coghlans replacement

I'm really sorry for you 4th Chord , to be struck down with prostate problems so young, you must barely see the light of day nowadays, or do you always have one of these with you? Just in case...

Pete will be in his 70’s now, doubt he’ll still be sign writing.
Shame he was treated so badly by the Quo camp, but hardly a surprise after what they did to Alan.
They got what they deserved I suppose 14 years of drivel.

I always had a soft spot for Pete for couple of reasons, He stepped in at a tricky time musically and when the band were in bits for various reasons, and did a good job.
Also I trained as a sign writer in Sheffield when’i left school and worked for a while at this before moving onto other work.
I think he did the right thing in saying no to documentary as he can’t have been happy with how he was dumped and would only have got edited out.

Seemed like a nice guy but easily my least favorite of them all. Of course, nobody came close to Spud.
