It was great to hear Lies last year in Inverness at the acoustic gig.
Nifty lead break on the acoustic version

Yes it is isn't it. I would be quite happy to see a bit more of that kind of playing among Quo music.
My other thought on revisiting an Aquostic track for the first time in a long time was "WHAT is that accordion doing there?! No offence meant to the accordion player, but most of the time it doesn't do anything for the Quo songs except give them a kind of a fake "Paris cafe" feel.

That’s what I don’t get with Rossi and co.It took them until releasing the Acquostic shite to play a different set for it yet they couldn’t have been arsed to do it in the last 30 years for the electric version. So many songs that were “hits” they never played but happy to in a stripped down format for Mr and Mrs Smith and the mother in law Cheers

The accordion did seem a bit prominent and over used especially with the first round of Aquostic. It does give that Paris cafe feel which can be out of place though Rossi does embrace that particular idea with the acoustic version of 'Don't Drive My Car'. Originally I did wonder if Rossi was thinking more of trying to get something close to an authentic cajun/creole style with Aquostic? One of Rossi's favourite bands used to be Squeeze and Glen Tilbrook has done a few things outside of the band. One of those things is his 'Glen Tilbrook and the Fluffers' who play in a similar cajun style using the accordion. Strange but true... cajun and creole music have their roots with the French and Acadian settlers in Louisana in the US.

The acoustic rendition of Dont Drive My Car is shockingly bad its laughable and pure karaoke.

Not one of my favourites; Ruined by those bloody awful Bernie Frost harmonies.

Don't mind the acoustic version, but like the electric version better. Imagine showing this to someone that never heard the song or heard about Quo before....My guess would be they just say -'FFS, what is this shite'?
