Not a bad album material wise, and is a LOT better than Perfect Remedy...
Some of the B-Sides should have stayed as album tracks to replace some of the utter dross...
Ain't Complaining, isn't bad but the video is laughable Everytime I Think Of You, not bad but let's be honest... Lean Machine could have taken it's spot One For The Money, excellent track led by Parfitt Another Shipwreck, great song but it's a re-recording of an Andy Bown single from 10 years prior Don't Mind If I Do, quite like this track I Know You're Leaving, The Reason For Goodbye should have replaced this as an album track
Cross That Bridge, Rossi's going to cross that bridge when he gets to it... that's for sure Cream Of The Crop, great track... won't deny that The Loving Game, another great track led by Parfitt Who Gets The Love, absolutely love this track... I'm not quite sure what it is about it, but it's one of the best on the album. Burning Bridges, better as a live track when Jeff Rich was in the band... it's become quite tiresome in the set these days Magic, probably would have been better without the stupid effect on Rossi's vocals at the beginning, but I like it

One For The Money had so much potential....The melody is class in the chorus. AC the song, whilst not great, is very far from bad... Don't Mind If I Do....Got shit over it before but, one of very few songs I could hear the FF on Who Gets The Love....I personally think it's a class song, in it's own right....Compared to LM, A Year etc, it obviously pales

Bottom line - its watered down mediocre pop with a terribly saturated production. Not one redeeming feature whatsoever. If it was released under any other name it would still be considered mediocre watered down pop.
The sheer lack of quality was reflected in the low chart position. It didn't deserve any better.
Is it any wonder all of their self penned albums died a death after the Army album? I think that speaks for itself. No use trying to hide that fact.
They should have been ashamed of themselves. As an artist with a ridiculously strong track record how could they even think this was acceptable? Mind boggles.
Oh and the worst album cover in their history.

Sadly, like most albums after 1981 (and especially after 1986 ) this is another mediocre offering with few, if any, redeeming features
Better than Perfect Remedy and Thirsty Work, but only just - so not quite deserving of the Austrian alpine village award ( "Uttascheitt" ).....

Hate Cross That Bridge and Cream of the Crop but the rest of the album's good, though Burning Bridges stands out like a sore thumb.
The marketing was all over the place on this one.

I like Don't mind if I do and Magic...can listen to Who gets the love... that's it, i'm afraid...
Why the B-sides Lean Machine and The reason for goodbye weren't included has always been a mystery to me...both tracks are way better then anything on the album...

Detest the album cover beyond words. Hated most of the merchandise that tour. What sort of band produces merch it's fanbase hates?
The 12" single of Ain't Complainin freaked me out, as did the 12" Runnin single. It was like, WTF??
At the time I thought it was a quality AOR album, not what I wanted, but quality. I don't think that now. One for the money and another shipwreck (neither my thing) may be good songs, but they are far too far away from Quo to be Quo.
Funny that someone doesn't like the intro to Magic - that section is the best bit of the album for me!
To be positive...love the lead guitar work on Don't mind, and enjoy the lovin game.

Absolutely fucking terrible album there isnt one redeeming thing about it - hell even the cover is shite! some saying its not as bad as PR well although that is also garbage it did have The Power Of Rock on it which is a great song & was excellent live - AC has absolutely nothing going for it.
