A very good album, nothing I don't like. The title track is a brilliant song and imo it's only getting marked down through over-exposure.
I think come rock with me is a bit boring. Always really liked Runaway and surprised by the comments!
For some strange reason although I like the songs this is the 70's album I least warmed to. I've listened to this far less than the others, and I really don't know why.
For me there's no grade A classic here (other than the title track), there's nothing seriously powerful, but it's mostly quite cool and generally very, very good.

After the previous couple of efforts it was a bit of a step back in the right direction, but only a step. always loved Breaking Away & the least said about Come Rock With Me / Rockin' On the better. 7/10.

That is brilliant, twod, thanks. Can I burn that to a cd? Would love to have that in my car next time some young fellas have their DOOF DOOF crap playing in their car,at the traffic lights, so's I could blast some Slowtrain back at them haha. Of course you can. Google drive: drive.google.com/file/d/0B3WraNNp59dLRGtVQ3FHWjZncTQ/view?usp=sharingI must have done that about 14 years ago maybe? Just found it on the net again when you said. OK I've got it on cd now and sounds excellent through my car stereo. Cheers twod. Actually the only downside to it is that it'll turn into an earworm while I'm trying to sleep.

Favourite Quo Album: Hello!

9,5/10 from me. One of my favourite albums along with Hello, Piledriver and On The Level. Not one bad song on there, just one I don't like as much as the others: High Flyer. Cover is awesome as well, albums sounds great productionwise, the first 4 songs are just pure greatness, as is Breaking Away. Class album!

The album with "Who Asked You" on it. I could leave it there but... First Quo album I heard - the album that got me into them and indeed into music and guitar - but accidentally when I "tape-backed-it-up", I missed out the execrable (to coin a phrase ) Runaway owing to the process being interrupted for my tea plus the marks on the LP not reflecting CRWM/RO as two separate songs - so I returned the needle to the groove on High Flyer after RO (can you believe the luck?). When I bought the LP later - what a shock that was! Again, great production by Pip, and a real guitar-orientated album with a good theme running through it. Though some complain about the half-finished nature of CRWM/RO - I always found the entry to side 2 a massive massive guitar sound - I still think it would be good live. Who Asked You is perhaps the greatest ever Quo song IMO. But Runaway is dire thanks to those dee dee dee dee dee synth stabs. And Breaking Away - finally - the return to the "epic" for the first time since Mystery Song. The WYW I recorded, without Runaway would be 10/10 - but with Runaway, I have to knock it down to 9.5/10. Come Rock With Me/Rockin' On was played live for a while in the 90s.

The last Quo studio album that I enjoyed before the wurlitzer and backing singers spoilt the next two. Good album , but no where near the classics so an 8 from me.
