Look how many are saying the it was last great Quo album - it'll be interesting to see the comments on JS. Doesn't go for me, Gates. Last great album for me was NTL.

It's an album that has grown on me over time.
There are some weaker tracks but for me it would have been the album to follow Blue for you. The balance of commercial tracks and rockers is better.
7/10

I love this album as much now as I did the first time I heard it all those years ago.....one of their best imo.
It's a 10 from me.

If QUO (10/10) is the standard to judge by then WYW rates a 7 for me. Favourites are Who Asked You and Come Rock With Me/Rockin On...especially the join bit between those songs, that classic Quo groove I could listen to all day.

After 2 disappointing studio albums that followed the double Live '76 LP, we were back on track with Whatever You Want. 8/10 This was the last Quo Album I really enjoyed.

Yep, that's what it reminded me of too when I heard it back then

Very true. But it's the Quo chunky groove I love...goosebumps. Like the groove after the drum solo in Slow Train... Now how good is THAT. I could listen to an entire album of that groove.

Doesn't belong in the same league as Piledriver to Blue For You.
5/10 for me, being generous.

It has it's good moments, but that's kind of it overall, good, rather than outstanding as an album, but definitely nothing really bad either. Enjoyable listen, but not in same league as likes of On The Level, Quo, Piledriver and Hello!. I even put the Remix of RAOTW way ahead of this album now. Best thing on there for me is Who Asked You.
