That's what I said when someone sent me the link last night just before I went out! I will definitely go to this as I was not able to get a ticket for the premier. Sounds interesting that there will be a Q&A afterwards with Alan G Parker. Spud says on his FB page he will be going so I hope he will also be included in the Q&A's.

Alan G Parker has now confirmed on Twitter that John and Bob will be attending. No mention of Q&A's for them though. Gaz will you be here in time for this? I think you said you were arriving mid July....

I think you said you were arriving mid July.... Sadly, Gaz won't be able to make it, as the Tory Government have just found out that he is a direct descendant of Archie "Mad Bastard" McEwan, who was transported to Australia in 1795 for kicking a Tory MP right in the baws. At his trial, when asked why he did it, Mr McEwan replied "He deserved it for being a dirty Tory bastard. He shagged my five year old son". As a result of this, the McEwan lands were taken over by the Crown, to be used for brewing beer, and all descendants of Archie were to be denied access to any port in the British Isles. Nae luck Gaz....but fair play tae yer great great great granddad. Crikey, thanks cobber but there are nae McEwens in my family. Mine went onto creating the world’s biggest hamburger chain.;-) Archie McEwen sounds like a top bloke though and I’m sure his descendants still hold him in high regard....actually, I wonder if it was one of his descendants that kicked that terrorist so hard in the nuts that he broke his ankle vivfromcov, now that I’ve cleared Davo’s concerns about me, I’ll get to you. Thanks for the heads up about Hello Quo but once we arrive, we go to Portsmouth (where the convicts departed from on their journey to Oz), then catching a ferry to Jersey for a week ( I wonder where Rick stayed for his year in exile) , before heading to Dublin. Will be in London towards the end of the trip in August. btw... any more news about JCQ’s tour over here?

Alan Parker's getting accused elsewhere of being desperate.
It'll obviously be of no interest to these people that he was specifically asked about a screening as opposed to him going around groveling for one.
The documentary itself hasn't escaped the toys out the pram treatment either. Presumably because it wasn't directed by the whimsical John Kettley (who spoon-feeds an audience in order for them to get it) that certain people don't like it.
And Hello Quo is 6 years old... Shock horror! Laughable that some people think everything concerned with Quo has to be commercially-focused. There's the Simon Porter doctrine at work again.

They are a sour bunch "even if it took place next door I wouldn't go" Poor doc? I think its a fairly decent one... I think they're ever so bitter that Post Live Aid Quo was glossed over because they did nothing interesting to talk about other than covers albums and publicity stunts

Hi Gaz , yes I remembered you are going straight off to Jersey. Just thought it might be a great coincidence if you were arriving on the 12th and going the next day...! As for JCQ gigs, still as before as far as his website shows: 4 Aug - High Wycombe (about 45 mins/1 hour drive from London) 9 Aug - Bilston (between Birmingham and Wolverhampton Edit - sorry, just re-read your post... No I don't think there's been any more news of the Oz tour other than it is a 15 date tour over 3 weeks in February. No dates confirmed yet though.

Fuck me sideways.

Obviously the Cinema screening will not be of interest to some fans but for me, it will be great to go and join like-minded people there. I personally think it was a good documentary of their story and ignited a revival of interest in the band. I have always wanted to find out if sales figures of their back catalogue have risen since the reunion. If it had not happened and there was no reunion, I think the interest in CQ would have waned and disappeared by 2014. The setlists, uninspired delivery and QuoFest Christmas tours were disappointing to many and even Mr and Mrs Smith would have soon stopped going..... imo
