Less than 2 weeks to go before Francis heads off on the Rock Meets Classic tour. Quite a lot of dates too. Any one here going?

Anyone who thought he might stretch himself with some rarely played songs would have been disappointed. Did we expect anything less from the laziest man in rock. He played Caroline, ITAN, Wanderer, Down Down, and wait for it Burning Bridges.

Why on earth so many nostalgic songs from the for him baddest period of quo.
This could be his chance to play all the forgotten classics from 1986 until today and especially the fantastic songs of his solo releases.

Why would he play songs that a mega casual audience had never heard of? Besides the tour organisers are in the business of selling tickets and making a profit, they insist on the hits and crowd pleasers , expecting anything else is naive.

Did any of you Francis critics complain about Rick's choice of In the Army Now and Rockin' All Over the World when he did the Rock Meets Classic tour in 2015?

(I liked it but that was partly for the video. I don't think they are running the video ) Of course he's going to play the pop success songs, this is a hits tour, not an early years fan club convention.

The tour is mostly in Germany and Germans as I know from long experience can have very odd taste in music, I was just looking back at Quo's placings in the German singles charts going back to POMM and bizarrely Dreamin' charted higher than Rain and Caroline! Their biggest hits being What You're Proposing and ITAN (only number 1). Anyway if anyone is interested in the vagaries of the German music buying public the link to the chart info is below. www.quoticker.de/SQTICKERCHARTSUK.htm

When I watched their Wacken set (online), I was struck by how popular ITAN was. Everyone in the whole crowd were singing along!
I'm only surprised because I'd stopped following Quo when they released it and didn't know it was such a big hit for them. I discovered it was a Quo song about 7 or 8 years ago, from a younger friend whose knowledge of Quo is from their later era. When I said I liked Quo, he started singing ITAN. "What was that?" I thought. "That's not Quo." At the time, I was inwardly horrified but I find it quite funny now.
