Thanks for posting.
Remember seeing this when it was broadcast. Christmas in the early 90s?
Jasper had his guitar tuned in an open 'E' tuning making it easy to play one finger barre chords. Quo usually play Caroline in the key of 'F' and standard tuning.

Tony Iommi performing with a rag tag bunch of musicians pretty much sums up Black Sabbath from about 1984-1998.

I don't think Tony Iommi takes his rock credentials too seriously and prepared to try something different. Thought it interesting that he worked on Choral pieces with the Birmingham Cathedral choir.
Funny how some people thought of them as Satanists. As Tony said himself... the closest the band ever got to Black Magic was eating the chocolates

They are quite a close group of pals.
Jasper (or should I say Bob!) went to school with Bev Bevan. Incidently, another famous Moselesian school pupil was Frank Ifield. Rick Parfitt's all time favourite Desert Island Disc is Frank's 'I Remember You'
I had forgotten until recently that Bev B had a stint with Tony Iommi and Black Sabbath in about 1983.
In his formative years Bev joined Denny Laine's band. I seem to remember that Denny Laine was one of Quo's guests at the after gig 'End Of The Road' party at Hammersmith in '84.
I can remember seeing Rick Wakeman and Lemmy heading off together (now now!) that same evening heading to the party I dare say. Found out later that Denny Laine and Lizzy guitarist Brian Robertson were on the guest/liggers list (oops, did I say liggers?!.... just joking Brian, honest!)
