Hi All, Just read this article about Blackberry Smoke's new Album and a new track from that album....
Blackberry Smoke have announced that their sixth studio album will arrive later this year. It’s titled Find A Light and it’ll be released on April 6 via Earache Records. It features 13 new songs which were written and co-written by vocalist and guitarist Charlie Starr. He’s joined on the album by bassist Richard Turner, drummer Brit Turner, drummer Paul Jackson and keyboardist Brandon Still. Special guests include Robert Randolph, Amanda Shires and The Wood Brothers.
Starr says: "The new album is a melting pot of Blackberry Smoke music with a wide range of sound and emotion. I think it’s our most inspired work yet." To mark the announcement, the Atlanta-based outfit have released the first single from the follow-up to 2016’s Like An Arrow: Flesh And Bone.
Pre-orders for Find A Light are now open, while a signed LP is also available. Blackberry Smoke are about to embark on a US tour and also have dates planned in Mexico and will play at this year’s Ramblin’ Man Fair in the UK. Find a list of their tour dates below, along with the Find A Light cover art and tracklist. (Article courtesy of teamrock.com/classic-rock )

Great band - one of the best bands to emerge for years Great natural feel and pace to their songs You could see this band for 25 quid a year or two ago Modern Quo ( who were/are charging 40 to 50 quid !! ) could learn a lot about "pace" and "feel" from them Favourite track is Shake Your Magnolia ( complete with cameo from Dale or is it Simon Fenton? )

Have only heard of a few of their songs through Classic Rock magazine cd's I thought they were good. But now hearing more from you guy's has made me go & get some albums. The local music shop here has the 'Like An Arrow' album, which i'll be getting soon. Look's like the next time i'll head up to Sydney, I try to find more of their albums. Cheers.

Technically a great band, but for me they lack killer/memorable tunes. I’ll listen to more of their stuff though. Can take a while to get into a new band.

That's what I think - have listened to two albums, loved the overall sound but not convinced. I'll give em another go. I was the same with Rival Sons - it took a while Looking at that clip - not many young punters there!

Rleationships between fans and great bands depend a lot on the songs I think (unless they are just searching for image). Obiously a great band but after all the miffs about Quo and Country rock I'm a bit baffled here. Though I admit BS are better at it. The guitars are great, the vocal style less to my liking, but that's a personal thing. I've looked them up before and this is probably the reason I don't go back. Great commitment to hair. I can't decide whether Charlie Starr's monster sideboards are a serious style mistake or a stern assertion of his own indpendence. At least they more or less work in profile. An ancient hero of mine has sprouted fuzzy sideboards recently, and does he know what he looks like from the side? Farmer Giles and not in a good way ...
One Horse Town genuinely moving, the story of dying towns and villages everywhere.

Fantastic band ive seen them over a dozen times now both here & in the states, really down to earth guys as well, saw them in Amsterdam last year & was drinking till well into the early hours of the morning after the show Really like this lead off track very different to anything theyve done before however planet rock are playing a track which is more in keeping with their regular sound its called Run Away From It All been searching desperately for an mp3 of it but no luck as yet Oh & they mix the set up every show as well!
