I was looking at a Quo gigs website and noticed that on 23rd December 1986 they played TWO gigs that day at the Hammy. Can anyone on here shed any light on this? I went to the following nights gig, early start 7.30pm if I recall!!

Trawling my memory banks for this, but think it might have been a shortened charity performance during the day, with the likes of Hale and Pace etc.

That does ring a bell ... I remember Hale and Pace, but didn't remember the circumstances. Not a bad way to spiritually prepare for Christmas!

Was this their last gig at Hammy until the reunion 2013? I may remember totally wrong, but didnt they get banned from Hammy in the late eighties? Because of doing gigs in Sun City? Or have I dreamt this up?

Or have I dreamt this up? You're not dreaming... In 1987 they played a series of gigs in Sun City and were put on the blacklist

Going off the Gigography site, Bob Young and Lemmy joined them on stage during Bye Bye Johnny I was there and confirm that. Didn't Kenny Lynch join them as well and there were some strange puppets appearing from behind the speakers. Or did I just enjoy too much of the Christmas spirit in the Britannia before the gig.
